Scenic
Areas
The
most popular attraction in the area is the beautiful blue
waters of Lake
Tahoe. The Lake Tahoe area is home to ski resorts and
golf courses, with many options for camping, hiking and
relaxing.
One
of the most stunning areas near Reno is Pyramid
Lake located 35 miles northeast of Reno on the Paiute
tribe reservation. The drive to the lake winds through desert
hills and valleys covered in rock and sage. The final rise
before reaching the lake gives the visitor a startling,
yet beautiful view of the dark blue water of the lake contrasted
with the stark landscape.
