My name is Daniel Watterson. I am a senior chemistry major, planning to graduate spring ’07 (Woo-Hoo!). I am in the application process for Pharmacy school, which is where I plan on going after graduation. I do research in Dr. Catalano’s lab. I work with N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands, which I use to make silver dimers. When I’m not in the chemistry building, you will find me playing in the UNR orchestra, or attending various concerts, such as the Reno Philharmonic, Reno Chamber Orchestra, or Argenta, just to name a few. I also enjoy many sports like baseball, basketball, ping pong, dodge ball, and bowling.

My name is Drew Buchanan. I am a senior, Chemistry major, and I hope to be graduating in the spring.  I do research in Dr. Baglin’s lab, but I do most of my experimenting in the kitchen.  I enjoy cool drinks, river floats in the summertime, camping, and bicycling.

My name is Melissa Rivera. I am a sophomore at UNR. I am a Chemistry major and English minor. I was born in El Salvador. I have lived in Reno for a long time and attended North Valleys High School. I want to become a pediatrician some day. I also want to join doctors without borders one day. I am a member of various clubs on campus. I also volunteer at Saint Mary's. My hobbies are listening and collecting music, reading, watching movies, and volunteering.

My name is Nicki Nelson, and I am a freshman at UNR.  I am a chemistry and math major.  I am going for my professional degree in chemistry, and am not sure what I want to do with it, but it will probably be research based. I plan on going to graduate school and eventually work towards my phD in at least chemistry and possibly math as well.   I am currently working with the elections board, and trying to become involved in organizations on campus.  I like to do math problems, puzzles and volunteer in my free time.

My name is Gene Wong. I am currently a senior Chemistry major at UNR. I have been conducting research in the Frost research lab working on organic phosphine derivatives. After graduating in May of 2007, I hope to move on to graduate school looking for organometallic/inorganic chemistry research groups.
