Chemistry Graduate Student Association

The University of Nevada Chemistry Graduate Student Association (CGSA) is an officially recognized graduate student organization made up of of all Chemistry Department graduate students with the following goals:

• Provide graduate students in the Department of Chemistry with the means to express their opinions and address issues which affect them directly, as well as broader policies which deal with the department as a whole. Promote and enhance interaction among students, faculty, and staff.
• Foster a climate in which all graduate students in the department feel a sense of community and belonging.
• Work to enhance the reputation and prestige of the Department of Chemistry at the local, national, and international levels.
• Promote research, scholarship, and outreach to local communities.

• The CGSA as well as all the graduate students would like to say Hello and Welcome to all the new graduate students who are just joining us. If there is anything we can do to help make your transition to graduate life at UNR please let us know.
• There are regular monthly meetings on Fridays at noon in 316A, TBA
• There Will be a BBQ September 16th, 2011 for Grad Students
