The University of Nevada Reno Chemistry Department and the American Chemical Society thank you for participating in the 61st Northwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society. This meeting was held from Sunday, June 25 to Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino Resort in the Reno/Sparks area. This event included symposia topics in bioorganic chemistry, molecular motors, sensors, micro- and nano-structured materials, atmospheric science, environmental health and safety, bioanalytical chemistry, organic synthesis, and future directions in chemistry education.

The Reno-Tahoe area offers a wide variety of attractions. Outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and fishing are accessible within minutes of the downtown area. The area is also host to many gaming, night-life and cultural events and museums.
