Scientists interested in Judging Science Fairs
Dear Scientists:
You are invited to judge an elementary school science fair at Lois Allen Elementary School.
The fair judging will take place on Monday, March 11, 1995, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
We will need about 20 judges for the Lois Allen Fair. Ask your colleagues, too. Science students at upper levels or graduate are welcome.
You will interview students about their projects, make constructive and positive comments to encourage the young scientists and select the best projects to be submitted to the regional fair to be held a week later in March. The students and teachers greatly appreciate your efforts. They achieve a greater understanding of the methods applied in scientific inquiry through your comments. Besides, it is a lot of fun to talk to the kids about their investigations.
Thank you very much for your help. Please write to the above address or call 674-4430 during school hours (8:30 to 3:30) to let us know if you can come. Other hours, call Beth Price at 329-8011 (home), e-mail: eprice@nsn.scs.unr.edu.
Sincerely,
Elisabeth M. Price
